We are delighted to welcome John McDonagh to the practice as our new Practice Manager. John joins us, with an extensive amount of experience in both local government and banking and will be a wonderful addition to the practice. We would also like to extend our thanks and best wishes to Tony Davies, who is moving to a new post closer to home.
We would like to welcome Dr Emma Reed to the practice. Dr Reed will be at Bridge Street as a Locum GP for 5 weeks from Tuesday 13th March. Dr Reed will be seeing patients who are currently registered with Dr Taylor. Dr Reed will be staying at Bridge Street until Dr Banerjee joins as a partner on 16th April.
Dr Taylor will be leaving the practice at the end of February 2018. We wish him all the very best for his future move to the United States. We look forward to welcoming Dr Shrimpton and Dr Banerjee as partners from April 2018. Patients currently registered with Dr Taylor will be registered with either Dr Shrimpton or Dr Banerjee.
Please note that within the next few weeks the Out of Hours base will move from Chesterton Medical Centre to a clinic within Addenbrookes Hospital (Clinic 9). The service will still be based on an appointment system following your call to the 111 Service, as before.
The Government will expect Primary Care Services to provide extended hours of service from March 2018. This may result in routine appointments being available from 8am-8pm, 7 days per week.
We are currently asking patients visiting the surgery to complete a short questionnaire on whether there is a desire from our patients to consult during these hours (for routine healthcare). Thank you for your feedback on this.
