To notify your GP of your pregnancy or arrange your first appointment, please use the Pregnancy and self-referral CUH and complete a self-referral form. The self-referral form is emailed to the Rosie booking team, instruction on this is provided on the webpage. This takes place around the eighth week of pregnancy.

Pregnant patients are looked after by the ‘Scarlett’ community midwife team and the Rosie (maternity) hospital.

There is a midwifery clinic at the practice for patients booked to the midwife team. The contact number for the Scarlett team is 01223 349376. A message can be left on this number once you are registered with the community midwives. Please note this number is not for emergencies.

The Pregnancy Advisory Service is a clinic that provides women with all the options to help them decide about an unplanned pregnancy. They also provide advice and assistance with long-term contraception, including sterilisation.

Patients can self-refer to the CUH pregnancy advisory service by calling 01223 217664. The phone line is open from 8:30am to 4pm and can be given to anyone who contacts your practice enquiring about a termination of pregnancy.

Women self-referring to the pregnancy advisory service will be asked about their last menstrual period and an appointment will be made for when their gestation is 6 weeks or more. Details of the appointments will be explained but are typically an ultrasound scan, followed by a consultation on the same day. Treatment is discussed and then booked dependent on the consultation.
