The Pregnancy Advisory Service is a clinic that provides women with all the options to help them decide about an unplanned pregnancy. They also provide advice and assistance with long-term contraception, including sterilisation.
Patients can self-refer to the CUH pregnancy advisory service by calling 01223 217664. The phone line is open from 08:30 until 16:00 and can be given to anyone who contacts your practice enquiring about a termination of pregnancy.
Women self-referring to the pregnancy advisory service will be asked about their last menstrual period and an appointment will be made for when their gestation is 6 weeks or more. Details of the appointments will be explained but are typically an ultrasound scan, followed by a consultation on the same day. Treatment is discussed and then booked dependent on the consultation.
